I. The Aries Point. A factor at 00 degrees of a Cardinal sign is
considered to be "at the Aries Point." If course you can include a small
orb, but the importance of it in a personal chart is that the aspect pattern
of it helps to describe your adjustment to the larger world. Just as your
Ascendant, with its aspects, speaks of your ability and necessity of dealing
with your "close world," the Aries Point is you (and your differences, sames
and coping strategies) beyond your personal sphere.
Aside from its relevance for an individual chart, The Aries Point,
represents The General Public. It's Everyman. Aspects then affect lots of
people and show up in "the mood" of the public and the tone of behaviors and
attitudes.
II. The Axis. To examine a factor's pattern, and its fuller meaning, we use
what is called "The Axis." On a dial, these four areas are easy to see.
Let's start from The Aries Point. You would look exactly opposite it to 15
degrees of any Fixed sign. Then you use the two quadratures (or 1/4 of 90)
in 22:30 Cardinal and 7:22 Mutable. Every point has an axis and points in
an axis are incorporated in the delineation.
III. Zeus. I had to start with the above so it would be clear that the
transiting TNP, Zeus, is and has been applying to the axis of The Aries
Point from 20-21 Libra. So we then expect the public, the average person (as
if there really is one) and the mood and tone of people and world events to
reflect this Zeus influence. Consider then that Zeus can be
volatility--with a strong On-Off switch! It's Fire (literally but also
creatively and psychologically.) It's firearms and military actions &
behavior. It's lightning and storms. As I often remind: anxiety on the
outside is inflammation on the inside and is likely Zeus in your chart!
(There are medical points for inflammation as well.) It can represent
machinery and/or fuels. It's Accomplishment (as described and affected by
aspects.) It can represent blood or athleticism.
So...are we living in a very volatile world? Don't so many people seem very
much "on edge"? There are record-breaking fires on the west coast of the
US. Are we seeing great damage from storms around the world? How many
shootings do we hear of every week? There's a lot of attention to guns and
gun ownership. Wasn't there some cutoff of fuel lines in America? Aren't
lots of angry outbursts directed at a member of the public--even when the
perpetrator doesn't even know them? You read of a criminal shooting a
stranger-- how much more Zeus in The Aries Axis can we get? With the TNP,
Poseidon, also applying to the Aries Axis, do we see the media contributing
to the volatile atmosphere? Who and what else is keeping things stirred up?
Yep! Zeus is in The Aries Axis alright! And it will remain so for a while
as the TNPs, the Transneptunian Points, are very slow moving.
