For lots of people around the world, Christmas is a very special time and,
for many, a (Poseidon) religious remembrance. For others, it's all about
family, a wonderful dinner, a beautiful pine tree with lights and
decorations, Santa Claus, Rudolf (the Red-Nosed Reindeer,) stockings hung
by the fireplace and presents. Definitely presents!

The year has been so dire that I thought we could focus on some of the
lighter side of Christmas (although, truth be told, on December 25th this
year, there is a Pluto square Mars in 23 Cp and 24 Aries. Let's hope it
means something like a weather pattern that affects a lot of people! It'd
be nice if it was just a very white Christmas. It may also show up as
individuals challenging a power structure or insights of how "power" tries
to squash The Common Man. It wouldn't be surprising if you see instances
where anger and egocentric behaviors and reactions had roots in
unacknowledged emotional glitches or in a reach for revenge or manipulation,
but, yeah, let's pray for snow!)

There are some fun asteroids to mark in your charts now:
Santa #1288, Rudolf #44613, Holiday #365443, Feast #10985 and for gifts and
decorations: Ornamenta #350.
Here's their positions per 2020:
Dec. 15th.....Dec. 25th
27 Sa 55......02 Cp 03 Santa
26 Li 39......29 Li 29 Ornamenta
00 Sa 04......04 Sa 45 Rudolf
13 Cp 28......20 Cp 02 Holiday
20 Le 41......20 Le 34, Rx Feast

Since it's such a family time, you'll want to see how the TNp, Cupido (02
Cp) is configured in your chart--but, also, of course, how radix and solar
arc Cupido's aspects are mentioning family and relationship issues nowadays.
This is especially dramatic now as the Pluto-Mars-Lilith of Christmas is
promising some drama in interactions with family members or partners. How
will the favoritism, criticism or rejection show up over the holiday? Will
you see the (Pluto) psychodynamics in the (Cupido) family or relationship
play out as (Mars) anger or self-centered behaviors?

And, yes, the asteroid, Feast, may well depict something important about
holiday meals, but that doesn't mean to ignore the other "food" asteroids:
Ceres and Demeter.

The asteroid, Santa, may be a kind of nickname for Jupiter this month. How
are you seeing Generosity and Giving?

You can sure use Venus (and maybe Jupiter) for giving and gifts, but it's
fun to check on Ornamenta for presents-- and then to watch how aspects
describe them. For instance, on Christmas, Ornamenta has Mercury in its
axis. So, are there books as gifts? The asteroid, Memoria, in 08 Capricorn,
is also in that axis. Do you remember gifts to siblings? Is just
remembering some Christmas events a gift in itself? With the aspect to
transiting Saturn (00 Aq,) some with difficult circumstances this year will
have to cut down on gifts. There can be memories of the father at this
holiday. But you can go through the rest of the aspect pattern of Ornamenta
(to transits and radix points) and see suggestions of what you're giving and
getting as presents.

And, hopefully, it's a relief just to think of something other than what the
(Zeus/Poseidon) sensationalized media (including social media) throws at you
every day.

When you look at the Ornamenta aspects in your chart, what "gifts" do you
have to give to others from your heart?

Remember Dasher and Dancer, Prancer, and Vixen? Comet and Cupid, Dunder and
Blixen?

May you have some peaceful times and may the New Year be very different than the last.
