Some of you had never heard of using Sums. Some of you screamed--and
loudly!-- about "more math." One of the reasons you learn to use a 90* dial
is that you can do a lot of techniques WITHOUT math. You just "spin the
dial." I'm going to show you a really easy way to have the working dial
(that extra dial that you overlay on a chart dial) do the math of sums for
you.
If you look at the pictures I've drawn here,(tap the image to show both dials in full) notice that the one The top has the working dial pointer to the Aries Point (00 Cardinal.) Let's pretend that we want to know the sum of Kalypso in 26 Pisces 02 and Hades in
07 Cancer 31. We start by noticing the degree ON THE WORKING DIAL where
Kalypso occurs. I've marked it in red. Now, turn the working dial so that
the Aries Pointer is on Hades. This is shown in the lower diagram.
The red mark (that indicated the position of Kalypso) is your answer! As
you can see, it's at 03 Cardinal 33 (in fact, 03 Cancer 33.) !!!!!!!!! Is
that easy or what?
To check your work, the first few times you do it, you might want to do the
math. Of course, you convert to zodiacal degrees. Here, 356:02 + 97:31 =
453:33 - 360 = 93:33 = 03 Cancer 33
So Kalypso + Hades = 03 Cancer 33 and transiting Kron, Rx is in 03 Cancer.
Your delineation would start with those three factors. Since all are
retrograde, you have a background or history where "things were hidden
because they might be criminal and this would involve laws, celebrities,
bosses or government officials." (And with the Russia investigation and the
revelations about celebrities these days, that's a pretty good
interpretation.) You're also thinking that things are (Kalypso) hidden because revelation might be a cause of (Hades) shame.
Then, as a dial fan, you would move to the dial axis of the sum and that
would include points in 26 Cardinal (hmmm, Uranus!) 18 Fixed and 11 Mutable
(Hello, Neptune!) The abstract of your thinking can be phrased as Kalpyso,
Rx + Hades, Rx = Neptune, Rx and as Kalypso, Rx + Hades, Rx = Uranus, Rx.
You're going to introduce themes of deception, friendship and more. For some
people, seeing it presented as if an algebra equation really jump starts
their comprehension and ability to delineate.
