Depending on your chart, these are some of the things you can "look forward to" (ahem!) as we go into early February:

1. With the medical asteroid, Askalaphus, conjunct Odysseus, you can hear of folks who combine travel with a medical concern. For some, this will mean that they have to "go somewhere else" for medical treatment; for others, they want to "take a trip" because they've been sick or for their health. Others will use the two energies to travel to see someone who's ill.

2. Askalaphus is still teaming with Saturn and this will manifest as ailments that involve the bones, gallbladder, spine, stones or that are related to the body's calcium balance. This combination can also show as someone dealing with the restrictions, limitations or hardships of Saturn because of a medical condition. For some, this will be about the illness of a father; others will find additional responsibilities as a result of illness (their own or someone else's.)

3. Also in late Sag with Saturn is the asteroid, Astraea. So someone will be finding that their (Saturn) is associated with vision problems. If this is strong in your chart, you can see (no pun intended) that, due to a person's age, they just don't recover well from an illness--or may not recover at all.

4. In early to mid-Aries you find a string of factors: Harvey, Kassandra, Kron, Eros, Phaethon and Uranus. In parans opposition (in Libra) you find the asteroids: Lynch, House, Hopi (all Rx) and the TNP Zeus, Rx. These are some of the possibilities:

5. Since the asteroid, House, can refer to hearing problems, see the House\Kassandra simply as times when one person can't literally hear what another is saying. At other times, this "not hearing" can be more symbolic; one person "doesn't -hear- (listen to) another's advice." Add the Kron (an asteroid you use like the TNP, Kronos) and the "not listening to" advice can be related to a lawyer, a boss or a father.

6. There can be (House\Kron) legal matters about a house or that vary due to location. There can be references to the living arrangements of a father, celebrity or government official.

7. From the Lynch\Harvey (if these are angular in your chart now,) you can expect to hear references to the role of hormones for certain cancers. You may also hear of the relevance of blood circulation & cardiac status in certain cancers. (Ie., if these occur in a chart where there is also an angular Admetus or Admete, the presence of the asteroid Harvey indicates thickened or viscous blood-- and this can be a cancer sign and the conditions to promote stroke.)

8. Seeing the Eros\Lynch means that you can hear of cancers of the breast, ovaries, or prostate.

9. If we take Harvey and Eros in parans (apparent) opposition to Zeus, we have concerns about the pulse or blood pressure. Zeus and Hopi with cardiac factors can be seen when there is a heart attack.

10. I'm sure that some of you pictured a back seat when you thought of the Eros with (car) Phaethon and you may be right. But remember that Phaethon can also be "falling" or "zooming out of control"-- and that too may define what's happening to someone's heart. You could also read of someone having a cardiac event while in or while driving a vehicle. Especially with Uranus, there's the potential for the heart to go kaflooey and cause or in reaction to an accident.

11. In mid-Virgo you see the asteroids, Psyche and Virchow, both retrograde. The pair are in wide conjunction joined by an angle in the chart I'm viewing. We think of Virchow as "pathology"-- and sometimes this refers to a pathology operating at a cellular level. Being retrograde, we're told that it refers to the past, can be more subtle than obvious, and is a little different than what you'd expect. Psyche represents the mental-emotional state. It can point to the brain itself, but most often it brings up the emotional state and psychological wounds. It too is retrograde. This is probably speaking of repressed feelings; feelings that aren't readily or often accessed. Combine that with Virchow and you have the problems and "pathology" that occur when someone isn't in touch with their feelings and don't realize that they're reacting from old hurts or from childhood issues.

12. Virchow is also carrying a conjunction from the asteroid, Andersen. If these two are angular on one (Tropical or Precession Corrected) returns now, you may hear of medical pathologies that affect the pancreas, that are involved in autoimmune diseases or that result in cystic fibrosis. As you might guess, when Andersen is big in your chart, you can also hear of cancer centers (such as MD Andersen or Sloan Kettering) or of major hospitals.
