Mid-October Configurations
We could pretend that the transits shown on this "return chart" (where only
angular--within 10* of the return chart angles--factors are shown) were for
your or a client's chart. What kinds of things would you have to say?
Although the Houses (the natal houses in which the angles occur) are not
shown, and you would have plenty to say about them if they were, you can
focus on the input of the transits and their interaction with each other.
For instance:
1. When you see the retrograde Hades with Kronos, you are thinking about
the past performance of leaders that hasn't been that great. You may
discuss the potential incompetence of government officials or those in the
public eye. You might mention laws or legalities that have failed or
contained errors. Maybe you bring up the idea that (Kronos) both government
officials and famous (and infamous!) people can have (Hades) secrets, things
they hide, or a past with important mistakes. Of course, you would then
incorporate the radix points that were reacting to the input of these
transiting energies.
2. After covering how the natal House at the MC would handle career matters
or would focus on the future, you'd go to a discussion of the transits at
the MC. You'd bring up the concern that (Circe) offers of help or
assistance might be subject to (Neptune) pretense or deception. You'd cover
the idea that sometimes "assistance" based on the idealism of Neptune turned
out to be exploitive, impractical or impossible. You might discuss the idea
that sometimes people want to (Circe) help but their approach is just vague
or without truth or foundation.
3. You'd want to recognize that when (Amor) people don't have boundaries or
limits, they can get (Neptune) overwhelmed, and that there are times when a
person is so "loving," they just don't see (Neptune) reality. You might
want to bring up the fact that even in an ideal world, a person needs to
have limits to who and how to help.
4. As you incorporated the asteroid, Zeus, you'd say things like: Since
it's also retrograde, if a person is really going to be helpful, they need
to have a plan; they need to be organized; and they may need to get others
jazzed about the effort.
5. You'd bring up the ways that a Neptune x Zeus could manifest-- that a
person could see people who are (Neptune) not entirely honest about (Zeus)
their accomplishments, that a person might fudge the truth in an effort to
garner support, that a person tries to hide the anger and anxiety they're
really feeling.
6. As you covered the Descendant factors, you'd have to mention that there
would be times of (Kassandra) doubting what was said because (Hidalgo)
others might not be revealing the whole story and (Pluto) they'd have
motives that might cause them to (Pluto-Poseidon) try to control what was
presented as true. You could also mention that your client would encounter
people who have had a (Pluto) major change in their (Poseidon) beliefs,
ideology or thinking.
7. When you discussed the factors at the IC, you'd be talking about
(Mars-Jupiter) matters and disagreements based on principle; you might bring
up that people can (Hebe) go along with things because they don't want to
(Mars) deal with an argument. You could talk about the love of
grandchildren, about affection that expresses as guidance, about extravagant
spending, about relating skills that tend to be a tad on the egocentric side
or about the (Venus) cost of (Hygiea) health care. (There are lots of other
ways these energies could create topics of conversation.
8. It is as if all of these angular energies were gathered around a table--
and the conversation could get a little loud. Each one wants to get to say
their key words and concerns. Then you have complicated dialogues such as:
Pluto\Hades - Venus = Neptune where there are hidden motives or financial
secrets either regarding finances or in an effort to seem more likeable and
approachable. (Do you see how I reached that delineation?) There are other
delineations of that same "discussion" among the energies and, sometimes, if
you re-arrange the order, you get other interpretations. Do other ideas
come to you if you see it as: Venus\Neptune - Pluto = Hades? What about if
you think of it as Venus\Neptune, Rx - Pluto = Hades, Rx and you allow the
retrogrades to add complication, possibly hidden matters, or factors with a
fuzzy history? Just use key words to discover the detail coded in the
abstract. For instance, "A relationship is built on a pretense steeped in
psychological scars from the past." And what about "To seem nice, a person
pretends and they manipulate in ways that aren't obvious"? And then there's
"Some relationships are a sham because there is unacknowledged dependency
and shame or depression." There are more things you could eke from these
complex energies. What do you make of them?
You'd need to add the natal factors and incorporate them in your delineation but you sure get a sense of the detail that can be seen. Even if you break the angular statements into Venus\Neptune = Hades and Venus\Neptune = Pluto, you already have the powerful themes of the chart.
How do you want to delineate things like Venus\Neptune = Kronos? Do you see that Glamour is Fame? Do you think about the Pretense of Niceness in officials? What else?
