The media has been headlining the fact that there is a strong increase in colon cancer among young people. As you examine charts for it, there are several asteroids that can indicate this cancer: Bishop #2566, Burt #6078, Lieberman #7696 and Wolff #5674. As always, you will want to see one or more of them in the axis of a Personal Point: an angle, luminary or The Aries Point. All four do not need to be strong in the chart.
Colon cancer can also be bowel or rectal cancer. Increased risk of these cancers is associated with obesity, colitis, Crohn’s Disease or inflammatory bowel disease.
Colon or Colorectal cancers are systemic and in 20% of people so diagnosed, the cancer will metastasize, most frequently to the liver or lungs. For metastasis, see the impact of asteroids Morgan #3180, Locke #7010, Wells #1721 and Virchow #13084. These represent “Metastasis”— and not just with this type of cancer.
Where the spread of disease is to the lungs, examine the impact of such lung cancer points as Hill #1642, Horne #11132, Johnson #5905, Graham #3541 or Collins #6471. See also how Mercury and Malpighi are configured.
There are a number of liver disease & liver cancer factors; see the Medical section of Research Access for these.
Since this cancer is about the bowels, check the aspect pattern of both Pluto and Hades. Since the asteroid, Handley, can indicate “cancer,” examine its axis as well.
These cancers are not always easily or quickly understood and diagnosed. Your ability to recognize them in a chart may be very important for a client, friend or family member. Where there are complaints of belly pain or bowel issues—especially where there is some blood in the stool—should prompt examination for these cancer asteroids. Check whether transits, directions or eclipses are causing manifestation.
