Nicholas Campion's classic text, "The Book of World Horoscopes" features two
important charts for the country of India. The first is for its independence
from British rule: August 15, 1947, 12:00 am IST, Delhi, India (Ascendant:
00 Ge 54.) The second is for the declaration of India as an independent
country: January 26, 1950, 10:15 am IST, Delhi, India (Ascendant: 04 Aries
49.) Here I show an abstraction of that chart, but you might well check the
earlier chart as it also shows the sad drama that is occurring now.
The news speaks of the horrific tragedy of the death count from Covid in
that country. While the chart shows the asteroids Thucydides for "pandemic"
in 02 Capricorn 44 and those for Sars type viruses: Monroe in 15 Libra and
Lai in 17 Sag, we can also use the transneptunian, Hades, for bacterial and
viral infections. See radix Hades in this chart in 27 Aries 00. Notice also
solar arc Hades in 08 Cancer 23, and you know that transiting Hades is in
that close vicinity.
With radix Hades in 27 Aries, there's the asteroid, Melpomene, in 28
Capricorn. Melpomene speaks of a tragedy, a kind of catastrophe, a hard
event that affects MANY people. So here we have a Hades--a virus, a
debilitating condition--that is a Melpomene-tragedy for a lot of people.
Notice on the chart the radix midpoints to the natal Hades/Melpomene! If
you see it as radix Hades/Melpomene = Mars/Pluto, isn't that something?
And you see the solar arc Aries Point (the public, the "average person") in
the Hades axis.
This chart holds the natal points on the outside of the dial with solar arc
directed points around the inside. Among the things to notice is the
directed Thucydides in the axis of the radix Melpomene, again spelling out
the idea of a (Thucydides) pandemic being a (Melpomene) catastrophe for a
great many people.
You also see that the radix Anubis in 29 Capricorn holds the radix Nephthys
(death, loss of life) in 14 Sag in its axis (and, in this case, an octile)
along with directed MC and the applying directed Thucydides. The drama of
this pattern may not resonate unless you've read the news reports that the
death toll from Covid there is so great that the state facilities are no
longer able to accomodate burial demands. Bodies are being (Zeus:) burned
(see also Brunetto) and families are even being directed to either burn or
bury deceased family members in their yards!!!!!
There are so many things to learn from this chart (ie., see directed Aries
Point in 12 Pisces to factors in 27 Cardinal--Hello! Hades!) but let's also
send good will and caring to that country and its grieving people.
