Devil's Canyon

If you've never worked with the Personal Impact Formula, you might want to
try it.

It's very simple: take the transiting Sun + your radix ASC - your radix Sun.
That's Sun-t plus Asc-r minus Sun-r equals the Personal Impact Formula

Of course you will turn each factor into its zodiacal degree. If, for
instance, your natal Ascendant is in 06 Leo 43, it becomes 126:43.
If your formula turns out to exceed 360*, you will subtract 360*.

Let's start with you computing the formula for today (whatever day you are
reading this.) Once you have a starting degree, it's easy enough to project
when the formula result is going to aspect important or dramatic points
(such as the current position of transiting Pluto or Saturn.)

To find that, you begin with the knowledge that the transiting Sun moves
approximately one degree per day. (Actually, averaged out over the year,
it's .9934 degrees per day. If you're not a Virgo, you can use the 1 degree
per day.)

You have your starting point and by moving it about 1 degree per day, you
can advance it until it contacts a desired point! Then you can quickly
check your math and adjust as necessary.

Once you have that, you want to set up a dial with radix (and probably solar
arc directions) and the transits for that date.

Because this is a dial technique, you will want to include dial axis points
in your delineation and description.

What you are expecting is for the result of the Personal Impact Formula to
show you what the day will or did "mean" to or bring to you. And that will be
indicated by the factors in the axis of the formula.

Is it perfect? No. Is it PDG (pretty damned good)? Absolutely.

To learn about it, you'll need to calculate the formula for some dramatic
days in your life. Then, print a dial with, at the minimum, your radix and
transits, and then note the degree of the formula. You are expecting the interaction of factors to describe the telling exchanges and events of the day.
