Draw your lunar or solar returns per the return chart angles, emphasizing
the radix and transit factors that occur within ten degrees (either side) of
the return chart angles. Let factors at the same angle “talk” to each other
and to factors at the opposite angle to have the energy dialogue that
describes events. Such as:
- A mid-Sag angle on a return chart now will bring up some interesting
combinations and manifestations. Because the alignment features Sphinx,
there’ll be lots of questions (and some of those questions will come up in
the context of the angle at which Sphinx occurs. So, for example, if it
turns up on your Descendant, you are “wondering about other people.” There
are Unknowns about others and about Relationships. Some of the questions
will concern the other angular factors, both radix and transit. For
instance, Sphinx can occur on an angle with Ceres, so there can be questions
about Food. And, yeah, “What’s for dinner?” counts. But there can also be
questions and mysteries about the Mother-Child relationship and about taking
care of yourself. - With the asteroid, Poseidon, close by, some of the questions will be those
“biggie” ones about God and Spirituality and Belief Systems. But there can
also be mysteries on television, times of seeing that there is much about
“God” that is beyond understanding, and times when you turn the Unknown over
to whatever your concept of “god” (or dog) happens to be. - Hekate is also in attendance. So there can be times of (Sphinx) wondering
about the meaning of (Hekate) dreams. It’s as though you wonder what you
were supposed to realize based on a dream. There can also be a sense of
Mystery or Unknowns because it’s Night, and it’s Dark! - Mercury is also part of this alignment, so a Mercury-Sphinx will show up
as actual questions. But there can be questions about Mercurial subjects:
your car, your sibling, your neighbor, whatever you’re writing, or some
document. Sphinx likes to asks questions. So it will want to know: What
did you say? What did you mean? What is your idea? There’s also the
flavor of “missing information” (and you know how we all like that!!!) With
Sphinx angular now, you have to walk on—without full information! - As Sphinx applies to the asteroid, Poseidon, the questions will be geared
towards one’s beliefs, religion, ideas, intellect and experience of the
spiritual. So, if these guys are angular on YOUR return now, there’ll be
questions like: What is your religion or beliefs about spiritual matters?
What is your education? What ideas do you have about X? Where did you go
to school? - With the retrograde asteroid, Grieve, in parans opposition, there will be
discussion of complaints and reasons in one’s history to grieve. This means
there will be Sphinx\Grieve moments and that’s “What are you complaining
about now?” It’s also the matter of having to deal with griefs where there
isn’t an explanation or full information about a sorrowful event or
situation. - The Ceres\Grief can manifest as “complaints about food,” but it will take a
turn showing up as “grief in the parent-child relationship."
